It has been 270 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

I had a meeting today.
The topic seemed nice,
I felt so when I prepared it.
In fact, my advisor said it was very interesting.

That comment made me happy.

It has been 269 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

It was so hot day, too.
Although such weather,
to save money,
I made hot tea in my home,
and drank it.

It was too hot day.
Hence, I perspired heavily!

A new comer in my office will come.

I haven't seen him/her.
However a desk next to mine, which many documents, papers, and dust were on it,
was being clean.
So I guess that fact.

This is a hot day.
I remember that there were cold days 2 weeks ago.
As these weeks have passed,
I wonder that hot days might pass away.

Today, there is a banquet finally.
After that, with graduate students,
we played some computer game.

It should have been a banquet.
It will be tomorrow because of a wrong reservation.

A half of talks in the conference ended today.
The afternoon was free time.

I went back my home after talks ended,
to have a house work.
I had a lot of works.

Now I go to a downtown,
to see some participants.

Some Japanese mathematicians joined my seminar.
They gave me some comment.
Fortunately, a German mathematician,
who I wanted to talk to, came to me,
and saw my talk!
He advised me.

It has been 259 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

This week, we have an international conference.
I was so excited that I couldn't sleep last night.

It got warmer today.
So did in my room.
An instant heater became not to be necessary,
which was a plastic bottle containing hot water.
Good-bye, my hardest week.

I recognized that I got a mental power in this week

It was a pretty cold day.

Yesterday, I was lucky
because I got a piece of a pizza freely.

It has been 253 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

It still was cold in my room.
I filled a plastic bottle with hot water
to use as an instant heater.

Its power was so great!

It has been 252 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

It's cold in my room!
In fact, it was only 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
An air conditioner couldn't be used as a heater now.
So what I could do is only wearing more,
I wore a pair of tights inside jeans.


Before winter had come, I had experienced such situation.
Few days passed from then, the air conditioner was switched a heater.

In this case, however, it might be switched a cooler.
So I hope that summer comes as soon as possible!

It has been 249 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

Suddenly, a hula hoop caught my heart.
I did wanted it!
So I bought it at a discount store.

Why not play a hula hoop?

...However why did I want to do it?
I didn't know that.

It has been 248 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

I found a pair of sneakers on my way home.
Each shoe laces tied to the other no to divide.

Then it hanged on a branch, so high that I could reach without a ladder.
It was there.

Someone threw up it, and he could not pick up it?
But why he thew after tying up?
(If not tying, it is easy to imagine. I played kicking my shoe away when I was child.)

Otherwise, it was a kind of cherry?
But it smelled sour rather than sweet!

Anyway, that was a strange scene for me.

Day 247

It has been 247 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

I walked on my way to the university.
It started raining, it was light at first, and finally heavy.
I stopped at under a roof.

Then I saw someone waited under the roof.
We smiled each other, and came to the rain.

It has been 246 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

The Michigan state started the smoke-free law from 1st, May.
This law says that smoking in public buildings, including restaurants and bars, is banned.

On the other hands,
smoking in cigar bars, that is places for smokers, is permitted.

I have no idea regarding that law.
I only wonder that to smoke outside haven't banned yet.

Day 245

It has been 245 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

Last Saturday,
the commencement 2010 of the University of Michigan was in the Michigan stadium.
President Obama gave the commencement address there.
I couldn't get a ticket of that.
It was out of sale when I wanted to get.

However I could see his speech on time via the Internet.

And I saw a big helicopter fly away from the stadium after the event.
He might ride on it.

I found somebody with a mortarboard and a cape.
It was the end of April.
It was the day of graduating.
