Day 116

It has been 116 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

Last night, Christmas eve, I went to a church near my apartment.
In there, we sang some carols and prayed.
I am not a christian. So I prayed people who is kind to me in the United States.
I also remember my friend in Japan.
And I would regard somebody with love.

That's would be a grate experience.

Day 115

It has been 115 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

It's the Christmas eve.
Nobody is in the town...

Only a camel is there.

Day 114

It has been 114 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

It is being silent in the town because of the Christmas.
Many residents stay at their home or go back to their parents' home.
Relatively visitors from other countries, for example Chinese, are found in the town.

I am also a visitor. I am a foreigner.

Day 113

It has been 113 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

I need to clean a bed sheet.
But a laundry will close from Christmas day through January 5th.
So I decide to clean it by myself.

I spend it all day.

Day 112

It has been 112 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

On printers,
I have a printer in my home.
However, I can't use it because my printer is not be able to recognized an ink cartridge made by the United States.

Furthermore, I can't use another printer in the University.
A mac doesn't recognized a printer devise in the printer room.

So I have read many mathematical papers on a screen of my laptop everyday.

Today, I ask a office lady about solving the problem.
By her help, I can use it!

Day 108

(I wrote the following post yesterday.
But I uploaded it at an another blog.)

It has been 108 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

Last night,
I went for dinner with Mr. H, Japanese.
We had dinner at an American bar called Grizzly Peak.
We ordered a pizza, fish-and-chipps, pints of beer
and a medium steak.

A steak was so tasty!

Day 109

It has been 109 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

It is a 30%off sale in borders book store.
This sale is only for Borders Rewards members, and it is applied for one item at once.
I am surprised because I have never known such a sale in Japanese book store.
So I go there everyday to buy books which I was interested in.

Day 107

It has been 107 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

Because it has no cloud,
it gets cold.
However its cold air is better than wed road at least.

It has been 106 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

Because I slept first,
I got well this morning.

In my office, I meet Mr.H, an Indian, and speak with you about some daily topic

Mr. S, who is the best man I speak with, is now visiting Japan
to join the seminar which my boss organizes.

Day 105

It has been 105 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

It is a cold rain.
Because I have no seminar and I feel a chill today,
I stay in my room.

Day 102

It has been 102 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

In the United States,
The Christmas sounds an official event.
For example, we can see Christmas decorations at the door or walls in the office room of my department.

Furthermore, we would also find Santa Claus at a shopping center.

Day 101

It has been 101 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

Yesterday,
I could join a dinner after the Algebraic Geometry seminar.
We went a chinese restaurant to eat fried rice and fried noodles.
after our stomaches were full,
we got desert at another restaurant.

It is a French restaurant.
It is a nice interior decoration.
So I want to go there again.

The problem is I don't remember what the restaurant's name is.

Day 100

It has been 100 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

last night,
I heard that ladies cried outside.
I opened the curtain in my room.
Then I saw...
that it was snowing.

Suddenly, I went out of the door.

It has been 99 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

A monthly party starts in a common space after a colloquium.
I join the party.

Day 098

It has been 98 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

Last Saturday,
I joined an event of ANIMANIA,
which is a community studying Japanese visual arts.
Between screenings,
there was a panel presentation about Japanese monster called YOKAI.
The presenter was a Chinese exchange student.
After the presentation, I told him that YOKAI had a root from China
I had known the information by Kyogoku-Natsuhiko's books.
We had a deep time to discuss on Japanese contemporary arts.

It has been 95 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

I finally saw "a" snow drop.
A beginning of fall.

It has been 94 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

Some people who don't know each other exchange greetings,
which is a cheerful scene.

It has been 93 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

On a break of a seminar,
I could ask Prof. M a good question.
So I have a great satisfaction.
It is a perfect time to drink beer.
Fortunately, I had got a short bottle of beer from my friend.

It has been 92 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

The entrance of my apartment is decorated with Christmas decoration.

Day 091

It has been 91 days since I arrived in Ann Arbor.

Yesterday I went to Arab-American National Museum in Dearborn,
which is an event organized by ECIR.
The members who join the event are a couple of Jordanian, a Saudi Arabian,
an American, a German and me.
In the members, an American and a German were hosts of the event.
In short, we went to a Muslim community.

Dearborn is the most popular town where Muslims live in the United States.
It is known as a location where Morgan Spurlock made the Thirty Days.
